    Would going on over 7 mile-11 mile walks everyday be good enough for cardio? I love running but I remember watching one of your vids and I believe u said it's better to do long distance walking instead of long distance running because long distance running can yeah get u leaner but can also burn off your muscle mass compared to long distance walking unless if I'm right u consume the right amount of protein throughout the way day to supply your body for long distance running.

    Go harder than last time that’s a good rule for everything in life 🤔🤩 can you do a video about signs your training to hard while in a calorie deficit? I’m dieting but I’ve hit a Plato I know less calories or more cardio same calories however in this deficient training hard I’m getting more joint pain than when I’m in a surplus?

    Excellent advice Greg! I have studied and researched human nutrition as it relates to optimizing health and maximizing functional longevity, and my in-depth investigations over the past several years indicate that a half gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day is quite sufficient for muscle hypertrophy that results from weight resistance training in the gym. The popular consensus among bodybuilders still seems to be significantly more protein is needed than 0.5 gram/lb bodyweight, but I believe this is an unfortunate hold-over from Old School bodybuilding paradigms. In my heyday, I was taking in 2 grams of protein per pound of my bodyweight daily, which was the recommended amount for maximizing muscle size and strength back in the 1970s, however, such a high amount results in serious health issues over time, particularly in the kidneys (potential failure leading to dialysis). Even at 71 years of age, I make modest improvements on approximately a half gram per pound of bodyweight per day. With protein, the old thought of "the more the better" is dead wrong because the body simply has to process the extreme protein overload that travels down the catabolic pathway for energy and as waste, excreted by the kidneys. For any human, ingesting only the amount of protein daily that is needed to fuel a person's functional needs is the goal, so that the body does not sustain long-term damage. Sure, bodybuilders need more, but not nearly as much as what most of us have been erroneously taught over the decades (I've been in this 53 years so far, so I use myself as a guinea pig regularly ;-) steve Old Man Muscle

    Well I went from 116lbs to 152lbs (+36lbs) in 8 months of training so I think I’m doing everything right. I’m not claiming it all muscle but I definitely haven’t gained much fat over this period, I think I went from like 9% body fat to 12% so still quite lean

    People don’t realize the benefits of using weed as an athletic enhancer. If you haven’t tried it take Greg’s hint and fucking smoke some weed!! If you don’t smoke it’ll take you 3-4 days to get use to it and see its benefits but once you know how to use it in a recreational manner for recovery it helps you push yourself that much further! Which is way better than using other drugs like adderall or pre workouts lol

    If you do suffer from chronic sleep issues, would you suggest working out less often while you work on addressing that? I try to stick to a 3 day a week schedule, work harder than last time, but sometimes especially on bad sleep weeks I’m still decently sore by training day. Taking an extra day to rest the smart choice?

I have a tough time falling asleep so I go to bed around 11pm and wake up at 3 or 4 am depending on the days of the week. Would taking a nap after work be a viable solution?

    For some reason, the smart pop popcorn is very delicious, but it doesn’t leave me full. I honestly have no idea why. Maybe because of my metabolism, because as a kid, I tend to store fat quite easily, while somehow digesting everything i eat in like, 45-70 minutes. It’s weird as hell, but I gotta live with it lol.

    Some moron just told me that only getting 5-6 hours sleep on average is going to cause me problems and make me sleep deprived and said to only train 1-2 times a week so I can sleep more... I've been getting that level of sleep for 5 years, I'm never sleep deprived, it's genetic my dad doesn't need much sleep either. I'm not losing sleep to work out, I'm sleeping my normal amount and still working out

    I wouldn’t recommend either cannabis or melatonin for sleep, melatonin has ability to inhibit hormone production especially during puberty. Some studies on cannabis show how it affects sleep stages negatively. Use magnesium biglycinate, best sleeping compound I have ever used!
